About Vail

vail colorado lodging

Vail Colorado is exceptional.  It is one of the largest, most popular and well-known ski areas the world.  From the legendary back bowls to the amazingly wide blue cruisers on the front, there's something for everyone.   You'll quickly see why Vail's motto is 'there is no comparison'.

Vail is located 2 hrs West of Denver International Airport, or 30 mins East of Eagle Vail Airport, Vail is easily accessible year-round.

The mountain at Vail is unparalleled, the front features a great mix of terrain from gentle green beginners slopes to moguls and cliffs and is known for the very wide blue cruisers that are abundant.  The front spans over 3 miles from side to side.  Then on the back of the front ;-) are the 3 miles of legendary 'back bowls'.  Largely treeless and vast.  If that's not enough, from the bottom of the back bowls, Blue Sky Basin goes up the next mountain offering a back-country experience of treed and un-treed bowl skiing that is about 50% blue terrain, offering up tree skiing to intermediate skiers and riders.

Vail is separated into two main ski-in ski-out villages, Lionshead Village and Vail Village easily connected year-round by footpaths and a complimentary shuttle system.  There is also a wide selection of properties available West and East of Vail a short shuttle bus ride away or in the nearby town of Edwards.

Vail is owned by Vail Resorts that also owns Beaver Creek (10 mins away) and Breckenridge and Keystone (30 mins away).  Your Vail lift ticket will get you onto any of those mountains or onto the locals favorite Arapahoe Basin (45 mins away), so you'll have access to well over 15,000 acres of skiable in-bounds terrain. Also, do not forget to visit the site of the playground gambling best online casino - Cop17.
